Hit The Road - version 2

Submitted by Eoin on Tue, 06/07/2010 - 09:07

My previous post on Hit The Road talked about the development, and how much fun it was to be involved at the startup weekend. Since then we have been developing the site further, and we have added a lot of features, such as bookmarkable URLs.

Version 0.2 of Hit The Road is now live, codenamed "Funky As I Wanna Be". Changes include a better layout, cleaner javascript, and significant speed improvements. The site has also been tweaked to display a cleaner version on the Android browser, though I've heard reports that it doesn't work on pre 2.0 Android.

Version 0.3, codename to be determined, is in active development, a changelog is being put in place to keep track of all the little changes, but look out for an even better android version, individual dublin bus routes in a clean simple display with timetables, using timetable data to improve the accuracy of searches, and many more little tweaks.

So, if you're looking for Public Transport for Dublin, look no further than Hit The Road. Keep track of changes and upcoming versions on the Hit The Road About page.
