I've had my Nexus One for a few months now, and it is truly amazing. I can get the answer to any question with a few taps of the screen. It is fantastic. But, do I now have too many lines of communication?

As a budding entrepreneur and a member of the web community I attended the Dublin Web Summit last night in the Chartered Accountants Ireland building on Pearse Street. The summit had a good line up of speakers, including Michael Birch, Bebo founder, and Ray Nolan, a home grown success story with HostelWorld.

I'm a regular visitor and poster on reddit over the course of the time I've been there I had a thought: what if you could only post on an article after a certain amount of time has lapsed. For arguments sake the time could be based on the number of words in an article. According to Wikipedia the average American reads at 250 words per minute. Based on this article currently on the front page of reddit, the timer would be set at approximately 3 minutes (the article has ~800 words in it). Obviously this system isn't perfect, but the general idea is to get someone to actually read an article before posting a comment on it.

Not having an abundance of free time these days, my website is a little unloved, but not forgotten. I decided to write up a few updates on my Nexus 1, my PhD, and the latest websites I'm working on.

Starting with my PhD, I'm making good progress,

O2 just called me and wanted to check if I wanted to change my monthly phone set up, change rate and all that. I keep a fairly close eye on what I'm doing on my phone and make sure that I already am on the best rate, which they told me again, always nice to know I'm on top of things! But then the following happened:

I was at DrupalWest this past weekend, where I presented on theming Drupal using Zen and jQuery. It was well received, with lots of great questions. I discussed the benefits of using Zen as a base-theme and creating sub-themes to work off of.
