The Spinning Class of Doom
I sat down on the bike, I was feeling good. The first twenty minutes I pushed myself hard, the sweat was dripping down my face. As it turns out, I pushed myself too hard; first a wave of extreme nausea kicked in, I was positive I was going to throw up. I dropped the bike to level 1, and dropped my RPM to about 20, and I started praying! I did not want to vomit in front of the class of spinners, it would be too memorable, I'd be known as 'The vomiter' from then on. Thankfully, it subsided, but then a second wave hit me, not of nausea this time, but of light-headedness. My head started to spin, if I hadn't already been dripping with sweat, the cold sweat that I broke out in would have been obvious. This, THIS could possible be even worse than vomiting. I would pass out, but I wouldn't fall off the bike, I was already slouched over the handlebars, and my feet were strapped in, with no resistance on the pedals. I'd pass out, and the momentum of the bike would kick my legs around and I'd flop around like some sort of freaky puppet.
After much deep breathing, I got that under control too. Another disaster averted! I even managed to stay for the rest of the class, though never breaking about 70 watts for the rest of it.
